Labour Profile provides insight to help businesses grow, relocate and develop on the South Shore
February 17, 2014: A highly competitive labour market and an unmatched quality of life are a few of the key attributes that are highlighted in the Labour Profile that was released today by the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, and the Region of Queens Municipality, in cooperation with the Province of Nova Scotia. Existing employers in Lunenburg, Queens and Shelburne Counties and those interested in setting up in the area have access to research to help them make decisions about growing, relocating or starting a new business; the Labour Profile identifies key workforce strengths found in the three counties of Lunenburg, Queens and Shelburne, which will be beneficial as entrepreneurs, business owners or potential investors look to the South Shore for their business growth opportunities. Key aspects such as income data and workforce costs by occupation; fundamental labour strengths including education levels and mobility trends; immigration trends; and other relevant labour-related data are covered in the report.
